Meet Joy, your Career Chief of Staff.

A Chief of Staff keeps a CEO on track. Joy does that for your job search. Sometimes it’s how you tell your story or where to apply. Sometimes it’s experience you need to build or who to contact. Then she keeps you moving, one small task a day, until you land.

How is Happy Hustle different from ChatGPT or Claude?

ChatGPT and Claude can help with career advice, planning, and writing. Happy Hustle brings all of that into one experience built specifically for people breaking into a new role or industry, like tech. Joy assesses your fit, builds your plan, helps you complete specific tasks, and keeps your progress organized. You work at your own pace, with human support available as part of our current beta.

I’m not technical. Can I still get a product role or a job at a tech startup?

Yes. Most of our founding team doesn’t have a computer science degree either, and we’ve gone on to scale startups and ship AI products. What matters is showing your existing skills in a way tech teams recognize, and that’s what Joy helps you do.

Is Happy Hustle only for product and strategy roles?

For now, yes, so our guidance stays specific rather than generic. We’re expanding soon. Tell us which role you’d like us to support at support@myhappyhustle.com.

I don’t know what I want to do yet. Is this for me?

Not yet. Happy Hustle works best when you have even a rough direction, like “I think I’d like product.” We’re building for your stage too, so say hi at support@myhappyhustle.com.

What if I already have a job search process that works for me?

Great! Joy works alongside it, keeping you on track and helping close the gaps between your experience and the roles you want. And if your process and network are already opening doors, you may not need us.

How much time will this take each week?

About 10 to 20 minutes a day, or a few sessions a week. It’s built in small steps to fit around a full-time job, and Joy picks up right where you left off.

Why should I trust Happy Hustle and Joy?

Happy Hustle is built by people who have made career changes themselves and have spent years helping others do the same. Our founder has mentored more than 1,500 professionals and students, and Joy’s guidance draws on that experience and on our team’s research into how career change actually works. Joy is a tool, not a replacement for your judgment. It’s designed to help you think, plan, and act, with real people behind it whenever you need them.

What if I’m not seeing results?

Career changes rarely happen in a straight line, and slow weeks are normal. If things aren’t moving, Joy will help you figure out why: whether it’s how your experience is coming across, the roles you’re targeting, or how you’re applying. When you want a second opinion, you can book a 1:1 call with our team to look at what’s working and what to adjust. You won’t be left to figure it out alone.

Can I speak to a real person?

Yes. Human support is part of Happy Hustle. You can book a call with our team here or from inside the app.
